Dr. Ammous is teaching a series of online courses on the economics of Bitcoin, as well as economics courses in the tradition of the Austrian school of economics. Courses are taught through live lectures and interactive discussion seminars, and recordings of the lectures and seminars are made available for students to donwload to study at their own time and pace.

Registering for an online course will provide you access to a live weekly 1-hour lecture, a weekly 1-hour discussion seminar, the class notes, and the full video and audio recordings of the lectures and discussion seminars. ECO12: Principles of Economics II

This is the second Principles of Economics course offered on saifedean.com, building on ECO11: Principles of Economics I. It is recommended that students study ECO11 before ECO12.

The syllabus for ECO12 will be posted here in the coming weeks. Sign up to the mailing list to receive it as soon as it is published.

ECO12 is taught through a lecture and a weekly discussion session. These are held once a week each, for ten weeks. Lectures are one hour long and are held live every Monday at 11am US Eastern Time. The lecture will then be available for download in video and audio format, along with detailed class notes. Students are encouraged to post questions in the course forum, and to attend and contribute to the live discussion sessions held every Thursday at 11am US Eastern Time. Recordings of the discussion sessions will also be available in video and audio format for download. After the course ends, students will continue to have access to the course page which contains all the video and audio recordings as well as class notes.

Based on Carl Menger's Principles of Economics, Ludwig von Mises' Human Action, and Murray Rothbard's Man, Economy, and State, this course covers the concepts of human action, scarcity, opportunity cost, time preference, capital, trade, money, and prices.
